A clearly illustrated offering

We use a unique and approachable illustration style to help make Alvaria’s powerful offering more human.

Brand Illustrations

Brand illustrations depict scenes, ranging from literal to abstract, of people interacting with Alvaria’s product, and ultimately, interacting with each other.

Single Hue Accents

Alvaria illustrations include a dark brand color (Plum or Cyprus), brand off white, and one accent hue. Shown below is Dogwood as the accent. Accent hues may exist in various shades in an illustration, but multiple hues should not be mixed in a single illustration. For the best results, shades of each accent hue can be taken from the examples above.

Dark Lines and Light Backgrounds

Illustrations should always be set on a light brand color. Lines should generally be dark, or in some cases, the same color as the background.

At least 250 px

Brand illustrations contain a level of detail which displays best at larger sizes. Brand illustrations should not be displayed smaller than 250px (short edge). When a smaller illustration is needed, opt for one of the illustrated icons below, which have a level of detail more appropriate for small sizes.

Singular Line Weight

When multiple illustrations exist on a single piece (website, one-pager, social media post, etc.), they should all utilize a single line weight. This helps to ensure that they all look like part of the same family of illustrations.

Illustrative Icons

Alvaria’s illustrative icons are used when neither an illustration or an icon are desirable options — typically when space provided is too small for a brand illustration, but a compact icon is not descriptive enough.
